Last Day in Manila

Today is my last day in Manila. My plane leaves in 6 hours. I take off at 1 PM, Manila time and I land in Vancouver at 10 AM, Pacific time... 3 hours in the past. I'm going to time travel!

I'll be spending 2 nights in Vancouver before returning to Montreal. After landing, I had straight to my hotel, check in, wash up, change my clothes and rush out to the office to meet members of a team whose jobs are being moved to Montreal to replace the work that I just helped send to Manila. Awkward, to say the least...

I leave Vancouver on Wednesday night and arrive back in Montreal on Thursday morning. I'm leaving here with mixed feelings. I'm anxious to get home and see Cassey, my friends and my family. I'm looking forward to being in my home, in my bed, in a familiar city. I'm definitely going to miss Manila, though. The people, the weather, the experience... This is all been nothing but fantastic and I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.

And now, I must find to cram the rest of my stuff into the remaining baseball-sized space in my suitcase.
